National Institute of Nutrition (NIN) was founded by Sir Robert McCarrison in the year 1918 as ‘Beri-Beri’ Enquiry Unit in a single room laboratory at the Pasteur Institute, Coonoor, Tamil Nadu. Within a short span of seven years, this unit blossomed into a "Deficiency Disease Enquiry" and later in 1928, emerged as full-fledged "Nutrition Research Laboratories" (NRL) with Dr. McCarrison as its first Director. It was shifted to Hyderabad in 1958.

Job Details:

Essential Qualification: 1st Class M.Sc., in Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Molecular Biology from recognized University qualified in ICMR/ CSIR/ UGC/ DST/ DBT -Net JRF exam with fellowship. Candidates without fellowship need not apply. 
Fellowship: As per the rules of the respective department viz., ICMR/ CSIR/ DBT/ DST/ UGC.
Title of the project: Vitamin D deficiency induced cardiomyopathy. Role of the ubiquitin proteasome and signal transduction pathways", funded by ICMR, at the National Institute of Nutrition, Hyderabad.

Age: Below 28 years.
