Job Description

Primary Areas of Responsibility:

This position will initially be responsible for performing activities related to the processes related to the Groups numerous bank reconciliations as we transfer the process in house from the current third party provider.

Key activities will include:

Completing daily / weekly /monthly reconciliations, along with research and follow through of unreconciled items, for assigned accounts 
Preparation and posting of relevant journal entries where required;
Verbal and written communication with the global controllership teams;
Achievement of weekly and monthly reporting deadlines;
Identification of any regular reporting issues and problems and bring these to team managers attention.

As the overall SSC team develops, opportunities will arise for able candidates to develop their finance skill set by moving within the various process streams that are embedded within the SSC.

Shift timings: 12:00pm to 9:00pm

Qualifications, Experience and Skills Required:

Minimum Qualification- Bachelors degree in Accounting / M. Com / MBA with 1-3 years of relevant experience

Experience in Bank Reconciliation / General Accounting Reconciliation processes, the review and posting of journal entries - in a global multi-currency organization.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, is an essential requirement and previous experience with SAP, NetSuite and / or Blackline would be a particular advantage.

Ability to correspond effectively in the English language in both written and verbal communications.

Proven experience in working to and meeting tight reporting deadlines.
