Job Description:

To perform the role of a Hadoop developer, help design good data solutions & develop components as per requirement & architecture.
Work with the lead, BA and users to define and ingest data from various data sources coming in different formats, model the data as needed and pumped to HDFS so that it can consumable for the reporting / dash boarding / analytics.
Work in an agile project environment and be ready to juggle between competing priorities.
Must be flexible to work with the global team stakeholders in the US overlapping hours.

Skills:

Experience in building and handling large scale systems.
Deep experience working in big data technologies.
Hands on experience on Big Data (Hadoop Ecosystem), Java & Scripting.
Very good hands on experience on components like Apache NiFi, Flume, Hadoop HDFS, Hadoop Map Reduce, Hive, HBase, Pig, Pig, Spark, Mahout, Oozie, Sqoop.
Very strong experience on writing complex queries by using Hive technology.
Hands on experience with Hortonworks Data Flow.
Experience on Spark & Scala is mandatory.
Should be comfortable with VMs, Linux OS & Ubuntu OS.
Experience on Core Java 1.5 and above; Exposure to IDEs like Eclipse.
Good problem solving skills, Effective Communication Skills (both verbal & written).
